Airlines & Transportation Customer Success

Implemented 6 integrated Rapid Marts (Cost Center, Purchasing, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Master Objects in Project Systems) in conjunction with ERP go live. Created a custom extract solution for HCM module using Data Services and SAP connectors.

Implementation time was 6 months for all 6 Rapid Marts and custom HCM solution.

Meet SWA SLA to extract delta data from SAP (Rapid Mart Data and Custom HCM data extracts) in under 1 hour. Fusion's solution was tailored to extract the data up to 2 times a day from SAP (Nightly Batch and Lunch hour run) – up to 3 times a day (Normal runtimes plus ad-hoc run) during month, quarter and year close activity.

Implemented advanced features and concepts such as Running Jobs against Server Groups, Parallelizing the Rapid Marts, using an Integrated Data Model and applying type 2 SCDs on selected data sets.


Energy Customer Success - Boart Longyear, CHM2 Hill, Veco Corp, Powder River Energy, Duke Energy, and Shell

Created DI ETL mappings for populating the Business Objects Warehouse in order to implement Supply Chain Analytics. Facts included PO, AP, Source Performance, and SC Costs. Dimensions included Entity, Business Unit, Time, Vendor, Item, Cost Center, GL Account, Legal Entity, Location, Currency, Unit of Measure, Buyer, and Cost Types. Hierarchies created included Cost Center, Location, Product, and Account. A custom dashboard was created for the COO, which included several dynamic features, as well as custom javascript to allow pop-up menus off a report’s dynamic hyperlinks. Custom reports were created against AP data, which included drillable, by hyperlinks, Vendor Spend Summary to Vendor Spend Detail.


Healthcare Customer Success - Cambridge Medical Center & Vidant Health

Cambridge Medical Center is a regional health care facility providing comprehensive health care services to more than 30,000 residents in Isanti County, Minnesota, United States. The medical center comprises a multi-specialty clinic and an 86-bed hospital located on one campus. A same day clinic, retail pharmacy, therapy center and eye care center are also located in the facility.

One of the unique aspects of the medical center is its size. Although located in the small community of Cambridge, Minnesota the medical center has over 150,000 clinic patient visits each year, 4,000 inpatient hospital admissions and has over 100,000 outpatient visits annually. Fusion Consulting Inc provided solution for Operational metrics for Cambridge Medical Center.


Healthcare Customer Success - Dallas Based Hospital

Our client's hospital first opened its doors in 1894 and is now one of the largest public hospital systems in the country, licensed for 861 adult patient beds and 107 neonatal patient beds and more than 10,000 employees. The hospital averages more than 1 million patient visits annually. Services include a Level I Trauma Center, the second largest civilian burn center in the U.S. and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The system also includes 20 community-based clinics, 12 school-based clinics and numerous outreach and education programs. Parkland is the primary teaching hospital for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Fusion Implemented solution for Revenue Cycle and HIM.


Healthcare Customer Success - Scott & White

Scott & White Health Plan and Insurance Company (SWHP) started operations in January 1982 as a nonprofit Health Maintenance Organization.

SWHP has grown their membership to over 200,000 members and the service area to 50 counties in the Central Texas region. New insurance plans have been introduced to meet the needs of members, employers and the community. These include a statewide self-insured plan, income protection plans, a Medicare prescription plan and a Medicaid plan.

Fusion Consulting implemented a solution for Enrollment, Claims, Finance, Actuarial, Provider Management, Marketing, Rating/Underwriting, Medical Management, Corporate Services and Operations.


Manufacturing & Supply Chain Customer Success - Iomega, Usana Inc, Essilor (1)

Re-engineered the HR reporting process during a two-month assignment. Rapidly designed a complex business objects universe against an Oracle data mart and recreated all their reports. Migrated Business Objects to the latest version. Designed and resolved security infrastructure for globally distributed HR querying. Prepared and administered customized training for the HR analysts. Supported HR generalists in new report development. Interfaced with Essbase and Iomega’s Oracle HR data mart, for two of their complex reports that required a combination of the data.


Manufacturing Customer Success - Carus Corporation & Mitratech

We’re delighted to announce that Fusion has recently gone live with a BI solution at Carus Corporation. This was a 51K deal net to SAP (Edge w/ DI). Carus Corporation is the largest producer in the world of Potassium Permanganate, a product that is widely used for the treatment of municipal drinking water, wastewater and land remediation.


Manufacturing Customer Success - Frito-Lay & Pepsico

Created five business objects universes for three separate data warehouses and one transactional database and over thirty reports for six projects. Additional work included data design on the DB2 and Oracle platforms. Assisted in implementing the star schema execution path for Oracle’s optimizer and integrated hints into the universe. Instructed the Pepsico Business Solutions Group on universe design, tricks and techniques, and SQL logic. Devised several strategies for “report bursting” and deployment. Created views and multiple types of indices to improve performance.


Manufacturing Customer Success - Gulf States Toyota, Textron, Lilly, & Exemplar

Brio-to-Business Objects conversion project. Work involved converting over forty Brio reports, rebuilding Brio applications in both VB and JSP, creating a folder structure for Corporate documents within Webi, dynamic/dependant List of Values based on BO prompts within Webi, a Broadcast Agent monitoring and email script for failed jobs, a global email script which parses email addresses out of the Comments section of document properties as well as filters the document based on values assigned to addresses in the Comments section, drill-through from Summary to Detail reports via hyperlinks in PDF, dynamic Webi layouts based on document keywords as well as other Webi customizations through JSP, database tuning and hint integration, configuration of WebLogic against WebIntelligence, an export to Excel utility within Webi for full-client reports.

Oil & Gas Customer Success - Alyeska Pipeline BP & Enron Pipeline

Alyeska was experiencing problems because they didn’t have an effective way to view the enterprise as a whole. We delivered a Management Dashboard solution with SAP BusinessObjects to monitor their entire business. The solution provided a consolidated management view of each of business units, including Upstream (North Shore), Midstream (Pipeline) and Downstream (Valdez port). The solution included Right of Way construction & maintenance analysis, Safety & Quality Control (event analysis), Financials, Production and related cross functional predictive analysis.


Professional Services Customer Success - Richards Group

With Richards Group, the overall objective was a highly selfsufficient reporting and analysis environment that allowed each boarded client to make rapid and informed decisions regarding the performance of on-line marketing activity in order to improve their cost-effectiveness in driving optimized business results.

Using SAP BusinessObjects tools we created a data mart that pulls data from ~10 different sources to deliver Business Intelligence optimized for Online Marketing.


Public Sector Customer Success - City of Houston

The City of Houston had an immediate need to provide stimulus fund reporting. They needed visibility into their data and business processes for all projects and initiatives that were to receive stimulus funding and fulfill reporting requirements. They realized that using Excel spreadsheets would leave them with a significant headache of large files, many versions of the truth and real difficulty in getting true and easy visibility in a trusted way that would fulfill the regulated requirements.

The City of Houston chose Fusion for ARRA because we were the preferred partner recommended by SAP and SAP labs. Fusion deployed the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise ARRA solution for the City of Houston to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with federal requirements. The ARRA solution included a metric framework, extensible data model and connectors that intelligently aggregate, summarize and present core measures in pre-defined dashboards. This allowed City of Houston to effectively manage ARRA programs to meet program, public, and economic objectives and outcomes; deliver full accountability and transparency; make timely awards and contracts with maximum performance and connect policy to outcomes.

The solution covered all in scope business areas including Grants Management, Purchasing, Projects, Contracts and Jobs data sources. The solution was delivered and fully enabled and live within two months. The City is now able to better plan, manage and budget their business revenue stream that is grants to more efficiently use the funds awarded.
